We are excited to share that the tire shredder project is moving forward, and the first pieces of equipment have officially arrived at the Reeves County Road & Bridge Department yard. This marks a major milestone in an effort that began in 2022 to bring innovative, eco-friendly waste solutions to our entire region. With machinery now on-site, preparations are underway to install and commission the state-of-the-art tire shredding system.
Once operational, the shredder will:
• Help eliminate illegally dumped tires from county roads and city limits
• Convert waste tires into reusable materials like mulch, playground surfacing, asphalt additives, and safety products for the oil & gas sector
• Support cleaner communities, safer roads, and sustainable practices across Far West Texas
This initiative reflects the commitment of Reeves County to environmental responsibility, public safety, and regional innovation. We thank ECO Green Equipment, the community, and all partners who have supported this project from the beginning. Stay tuned for further updates as we move closer to the official launch of this much-needed service.
