It is with deep sorrow and profound respect that the Office of the Reeves County Judge announces the passing of Commissioner Tony Trujillo, who departed this life early
this morning, August 1, 2025.
Commissioner Trujillo was a dedicated public servant who proudly represented Precinct 4 with integrity, humility, and a steadfast commitment to the people of Reeves County. He served our community with honor and compassion, and his leadership has left an indelible mark on this county. His passion for service and his love for this region were evident in all that he did, and he will be deeply missed by colleagues, friends, and the countless lives he touched.
As a mark of respect and mourning, Reeves County Judge Leo Hung has ordered that all flags in Reeves County be flown at half-staff, effective immediately, and remain so until sunset on the day of Commissioner Trujillo’s funeral.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Commissioner Trujillo’s family during this difficult time. We extend to them our deepest condolences and gratitude for sharing him with this community.
Further details regarding memorial arrangements will be shared as they become available.
May Commissioner Trujillo rest in eternal peace.
