With the roar of diesel engines, the gleam of heavy machinery, and a crowd full of community pride, Reeves County proudly recognized its Road & Bridge Department staff for their dedicated years of service during the Reeves County Employee Expo & Truck Roadeo, held May 28–29 at the Reeves County Civic Center.
The event, hosted by the Reeves County Road & Bridge Department, brought together industry professionals, vendors, CDL drivers, and safety experts for two dynamic days of equipment showcases, elite training, and spirited competition. But the true highlight came when the county paused to shine a well-deserved spotlight on the unsung heroes who keep our roads safe and our infrastructure strong.
Celebrating Years of Service
During a special recognition ceremony, long-serving employees were honored for their unwavering commitment and impact on the county. Surrounded by peers, industry leaders, and supportive community members, these dedicated professionals received heartfelt accolades for their milestones.
“We extend our deepest gratitude and congratulations to each honoree,” said Jaime Mendoza, Superintendent/Paving and Maintenance Supervisor. “Your dedication doesn’t go unnoticed—and this event was the perfect setting to celebrate your achievements among those who understand the value of your work.”
The honorees, representing decades of collective service, have contributed to everything from road maintenance and safety initiatives to emergency response efforts and public infrastructure improvements. Their hands-on experience and dedication are the foundation of Reeves County’s progress and safety.
